The STARS Program (Stimulating the Development of the Northern region of Montenegro) In cooperation with FORS MONTENEGRO-Foundation for the Development of Northern Montenegro Is seeking grant proposals for the U.S. Ambassador’s Fund for the Support of Agriculture. The STARS Program is a USAID funded initiative that aims to catalyze economic growth in northern Montenegro by increasing the competitiveness of local private tourism and agriculture enterprises through activities focused on product development, marketing, sales and training support. |

On the beginning of March 2010 FORS Montenegro, thanks to funding from Caritas Luxembourg, has started implementation of environmental education project "Najmladji najbrze uce". Implementation of the project will last 6 months and will finish on November 30th 2010. Project activities are implemented in primary schools and kindergarten located in Berane, during second semester of school 2009/2010 year and during first semester of school year 2010/2011. |

Within the project, ’’OSIM’’, funded by Montenegrin Ministry of Culture, Sports and Media through lottery budget, FORS Montenegro conducted research in the field with the goal to identify individuals and organizations of persons with disabilities involved in production of souvenirs or other artifacts and products. |

NGO FORS Montenegro launched the project "Dotakni zivot a ne dno" which was approved by the Commission for allocation of revenue from lottery, through the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Media. Within this project FORS Montenegro conducted a series of activities in six municipalities in northern Montenegro: Andrijevica, Berane, Bijelo Polje, Pljevlja, Plav and Niksic. |

In Sarajevo 14.01.2010 was held the first meeting of partners in the joint cross-border cooperation project that aims to improve the sound management of areas of outstanding natural value (AONV), approved by the European Commission in December 2009.
Besides FORS Montenegro other project partners are Center for Sustainable Environmental Development Sarajevo, Nature Park "Logarska valley" from Slovenia, Association for Environmental «How green is my valley" Plaški from Croatia.
