FORS Montenegro in last two months submitted four project proposals under IPA cross border cooperation programme. The proposals were designed within environmental and tourism sectors. FORS Montenegro is satisfied with developed projects and with cooperation with partners from Albania, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Personnel said that they felt better prepared for the upcoming EU tenders and commented on importance of EU cross border cooperation projects, particularly because of new partnerships that FORS Montenegro established.

Berane – 28 September 2009: The officer in charge of USAID Montenegro, Mr. Ramsey Day visited FORS Montenegro office in Berane, during the last week of September, and was briefed by Senior Program Officer Mr. Emil Kocan about the FORS’s current activities and plans for the future.

"We are delighted with the past and current co-operation, as well as with support we received from the USAID Montenegro," said Emil Kocan, "and the relationship between USAID and FORS Montenegro will be increasingly important as we move forward towards development of the Northern Montenegro."

In a past two years FORS Montenegro implemented  programme ''Joining forces for sustainable future in western Balkans'' furthermore our activities were related to development and implementation of project Green Agenda in municipality Mojkovac. The aim of this project was to get the information regarding ecological situation in municipality Mojkovac, representatives of the Municipality, NGO’s, stakeholders and all interested citizens, be involved in the project and meet with the activities regarding Green Agenda program. Program is funded by Dutch Government through Milieukontakt, and in the field is implemented by FORS Montenengro.

"Green Center” is a non-formal alliance of ecological NGOs that are ready for active participation in the improvement and consistent implementation of environment protection legislative. The primary task of "Green Center " is to introduce the contents of legal documents (national and EU) related to environment protection to NGOs, local communities and other interested parties, to organize joint NGO activities, to work on the campaigns supporting issues of common interest and final development and strengthening of the Alliance of Ecological NGOs, with a goal of better communication in the area of designing "Ecological Policies".

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, funded project “Support to capacity building for agriculture and rural development policy analysis and formulation to support EU-integration of the South-Eastern European countries” of which FORS Montenegro’ responsibility was to organize workshop in Montenegro. An event, organized at Hotel Bianca, Kolasin, gathered more than thirty participants from Serbia and Montenegro in late June 2009.
