Rural poverty is an important aspect of European poverty, in particular since rural areas account for a large proportion of European territory and its population. In some Member States the poverty risk in rural areas is double that of urban areas. |

Speaking at a workshop being held as part of the ongoing cooperation of Caritas Luxembourg and Persons with Disabilities Associations (PDAs) from Bijelo Polje municipality, on the Training Programme for Capacity Building of PDAs Emil Kocan, FORS Montenegro said: “Tackling PDAs integration into our society and promoting of EU integrations are among priorities for Montenegrin Society. The input into the development of future projects for EU funding from persons with disabilities is invaluable in identifying key issues which will contribute to new jobs creation and inclusion of PDAs into society in northern Montenegro area”. |

Training on Design and Management of Environmental Projects was held in National Park Fruska Gora, Serbia from 24-28 May 2009. The training was developed and facilitated by WWF Mediterranean Programme through its capacity building programme Across the Waters, and in collaboration with Young Researches of Serbia and NGO Green Home from Montenegro. Trainer was Mr. Christoph Stein, WWF. |

FORS Montenegro executive director Mr.Veselin Sturanovic participated in one out of three training seminars to be held under the EU funded project „Raising the Institutional Capacities of Environmental NGOs in the Western Balkans?. Seminar took place in Sarajevo from 4th to 8th March 2009. |
