OSIM Project

Within the project, ’’OSIM’’, funded by Montenegrin Ministry of Culture, Sports and Media through lottery budget, FORS Montenegro conducted research in the field with the goal to identify individuals and organizations of persons with disabilities involved in production of souvenirs or other artifacts and products.

The survey was conducted in the municipalities of Berane, Bijelo Polje and Pljevlja among individuals and associations that gather members of this population. Analysis of results showed, although a small number of associations are involved in the production of souvenirs, exceptional creativity and potential of persons with disabilities for this type of work. FORS Montenegro made a catalog of souvenirs, which was presented to potential customers throughout Montenegro. In this way, their work will be presented to customers and employers and contribute to the purpose of the project, and it is the encouragement of entrepreneurship and employment of persons with disabilities.
