Within the project „Najmladji najbrze uce“, which implements FORS Montenegro in Municipality Berane, the action of cleaning school yards of Primary school „Radomir Mitrovic“ , its department in Budimlja and yard of kindergarten „Radmila Nedic“ is carried out. The aim of the project is improvement of the environmental situation in Municipality Berane. The project is funded by Caritas Luxembourg Foundation. FORS Montenegro partners in this project are: Primary school „Radomir Mitrovic“, kindergarten „Radmila Nedic“, Public Communal Company Berane and Secretariat for Urban Planning and construction, environmental protection and utilities and Housing Services in Berane.

The cleaning action of green areas around and within school and kindergarten yard, was conducted by school children and their teachers, with help of FORS Montenegro and Public Communal Company Berane staff. Collected waste was stored in Recycle waste bins (paper, glass, metal, pet), that are procured through this project. Education of schoolchildren and kindergarten children on selective waste management was organized before this action. The children learnt that they can contribute to environmental protection in various ways, and one of them is selective and proper disposal of various types of waste, because it prevents pollution of the environment, saving space and energy and preserve natural resources.

FORS Montenegro contributed with this action to celebration and promotion of World Environment Day (June 5^th).
